Asé Session Eps. 3: Glad You Saw the Rainbow

This is all about celebrating life!!

September is National Suicide Prevention month and the doors of my home will open up to celebrate black folks who considered suicide when the rainbow was enuf. The choreo-poem play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When The Rainbow Is Enuf" written by

Ntozake Shange, inspires our night exploring poetry, music, movement and the celebration of all of our journeys. This intimate event is to show gratitude for ourselves and ones we love that are still here after suicide ideation and/or attempts. As an artist who overcame suicide attempts and ideation I understand how dark life can be, and anyone who have climbed out of that darkness or who needs light while battling it, this is a night for you.
