About the Event
The first Asé Project Retreat will involve the stories of Wounded Mothers. This is an exploration of the stories of mothers, their now adult children and their partners managing life as the mother battled her mental health postartum.
This retreat is open to mothers with this experience, their mothers, their children (who are now adults) and significant others of those mothers, male, female or nonbinary.
Collectively we will dive into the generational trauma produced from these wounds, avenues of healing and self-forgiveness. Through creative writing, voice work and movement we will release the agony of untold truths. This session will conclude with a film project, filming in October.
Participants will meet Tuesdays 6:00p-7:30p and Saturdays 10:00a-11:30a for the month of September, beginning September 8th.
An application must be submitted to participate so that we can confirm you are connected to the retreats theme. There will be more retreats to come, so please sign-up for our newsletter.
Trigger Warning: If you are a person who suffers from mental illness or emotional imbalances, these topics may be triggering for you. Please consult your doctor before attending the sessions.
